Overview

ComplyGuard offers both monthly subscription plans and one-time compliance audits. Because our service involves real-time website crawling and AI-powered analysis, refund eligibility depends on whether the service has been delivered. This policy outlines your rights for each type of purchase.

This Refund Policy should be read together with our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. In the event of a conflict, the Terms of Service govern.

Important: These refund terms are presented to you before purchase at checkout. By completing your purchase, you acknowledge that you have read and agree to these refund terms. A summary of refund eligibility is also included in your post-purchase confirmation email.

Monthly Subscriptions

You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings under “Billing,” by emailing support@complyguard.us, or by calling (509) 795-4863. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing cycle. You retain access to all paid features until then.

  • 7-day full refund: Cancel within 7 days of your initial subscription purchase for a full refund, regardless of whether you have used the Service. No conditions, no questions asked.
  • After 7 days, no partial-month refunds are issued for monthly subscriptions. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing cycle and you retain access to all paid features until then.
  • Downgrades (e.g., Monitor Nationwide to Monitor Limited) take effect at the next billing cycle. No refund is issued for the difference in the current period.

Annual Subscriptions

Annual subscriptions are billed once per year in advance.

  • 7-day full refund: Cancel within 7 days of your initial annual purchase for a full refund, regardless of whether you have used the Service.
  • Prorated refund after 7 days: If you cancel after 7 days, we will issue a prorated refund for the unused portion of your annual term. For example, if you cancel 4 months into a 12-month subscription, you receive a refund for the remaining 8 months.
  • You retain access to all paid features through the end of the current billing month.
  • We send a renewal reminder email between 15 and 30 days before your annual renewal date. You can view your next billing date and cancel at any time from account settings, by email, or by phone. If you do not wish to renew, cancel before the renewal date at no penalty.

One-Time Compliance Audits

One-time audits are consumable services. Once an audit scan has been initiated, the crawling and AI analysis costs are incurred and cannot be recovered.

Dissatisfied with Results?

If you believe your compliance report contains factual errors or failed to analyze accessible pages on your website, contact us within 14 days of receiving your results. We will investigate and, where an error is confirmed, provide one of the following remedies:

  • Crawler error (pages were accessible but not scanned): complimentary re-scan at no charge.
  • Analysis error (finding is factually incorrect or cites the wrong statute): corrected report or credit toward a future audit.
  • Service failure (scan did not complete or produced no results): full refund.

Contact us within 14 days if you believe your report contains errors. We investigate all claims and will provide a good-faith remedy. We want every customer to find value in their report.

Please note: Compliance reports are generated using automated AI systems and are for informational purposes only. They do not constitute legal advice or guarantee compliance with any law. Because the purpose of the Service is to identify potential compliance gaps, a report that surfaces issues is generally functioning as intended. However, if you believe findings are factually incorrect or based on an error in our analysis, we encourage you to contact us — we take accuracy seriously and will investigate. Free Tier

The free tier is provided at no charge and is not eligible for refunds. If you used a free scan and would like more comprehensive results, consider upgrading to a paid plan.

How to Request a Refund

To request a refund, email support@complyguard.us with your account email and order details. We aim to respond within 2 business days. Approved refunds are processed to the original payment method via Stripe within 5–10 business days. For details on how we handle your payment data, see our Privacy Policy.

Limitation of Liability

Issuance of a refund does not constitute an admission that the Service was defective or that ComplyGuard is liable for any damages. If you experience an issue with scan output quality, we will offer a re-scan or correction at no additional cost as an alternative to a refund. All limitations of liability in our Terms of Service apply to refund requests and related disputes. Nothing in this policy limits your rights under applicable consumer protection laws.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this refund policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. The policy in effect at the time of your purchase applies to that transaction.
