About ComplyGuard

ComplyGuard is a self-service SaaS application that audits a business's consumer-facing practices against applicable state consumer protection laws.

We combine a guided questionnaire, automated website crawling, and AI-powered analysis to produce a state-by-state risk assessment with specific statutory citations and plain-English remediation steps.

Why ComplyGuard?

Businesses selling to consumers across multiple U.S. states face a patchwork of consumer protection laws. ComplyGuard automates the compliance review that currently requires an attorney doing manual, state-by-state analysis.

How ComplyGuard Works

ComplyGuard combines three analysis layers:

  1. Structured site crawling— a headless browser visits your public pages and extracts text, structure, and disclosures.
  2. Rules-based pattern matching— page content is checked against a database of 70+ consumer protection rules derived from state and federal statutes across 52 jurisdictions.
  3. Citation-backed issue detection— findings include the specific statute section that triggered the flag, with a plain-English explanation and suggested fix language.

Our rule database is updated as statutes change. Automated analysis cannot account for every business nuance — findings are starting points for review, not legal conclusions.

What ComplyGuard Is For

Screening publicly visible consumer-facing website content against state and federal consumer protection requirements — pricing disclosures, refund policies, auto-renewal terms, warranty language, advertising claims, and fee transparency.

What ComplyGuard Is Not For

Cookie and privacy compliance (use a CMP), DSAR management, checkout-flow testing, post-purchase email review, internal process auditing, or legal certification. ComplyGuard is not a substitute for qualified legal counsel.

Why State-by-State Review Is Hard

The U.S. has no single consumer protection law. Each state has its own statutes governing refund policies, pricing disclosures, auto-renewal terms, warranty rules, and advertising claims. A refund policy that is legal in Texas may violate requirements in California, New York, or Minnesota. Manually reviewing your site against 52 jurisdictions requires reading hundreds of statutory sections and cross-referencing your disclosures against each one. ComplyGuard automates that process.
